Southern Shores, North Carolina

Incorporated in 1979, Southern Shores is an excellent, very well planned predominately residential community consisting of four square miles/2,600 acres stretched from ocean to sound. It is surrounded with wildlife, gorgeous pines and blooming dogwoods with canals and lagoons throughout.

There are ocean and soundviews from high dunes and some of the most private beaches along the Outer Banks. Amenities include 2 marinas (one with a boat launch) 2 beach access parking areas; a recreation area with children's playground picnic area, basketball court, green area for soccer. Not far from activities, shopping and restaurants. There are some very nice homesites that are available now. Southern Shores also offers a private Country Club which opened in 1968 with a community pool, tennis courts and, if you enjoy golf course living, an 18 hole golf course named Duck Woods Golf Course.
